Riad Azahar is a fictional riad with four rooms that open onto a central courtyard with a fountain. The noise of the street stays outside: inside there are tiles, carved wood, the sound of water and a staircase up to the terrace.

It is the heart of the riad: a courtyard with an orange tree, a small fountain and iron chairs in the shade. At any hour there is a corner: for afternoon tea, for reading or for doing nothing.
On the first floor, a wooden gallery runs around the courtyard. There is a salon with low sofas and cushions where tea is served in the afternoon.
A narrow staircase climbs to the roof: sunbeds for the morning sun, tables for dinner and, at sunset, views over the neighbouring terraces. The terrace is open until 11 pm.

It is served in the courtyard or on the terrace: mint tea on the silver tray, freshly baked bread, olives, eggs and the house jams. There is no rush.

Riad Azahar is in a quiet lane of the old town (fictional), a few minutes on foot from the main square. Cars cannot reach the door: we explain the last stretch on foot and, if you ask, someone walks with you and your luggage.
